Joey Curtin: Bio

Joey Curtin began her musical career in the San Francisco Bay area. She has performed at the Sheraton Palace, Union Square, the Stonestown Galleria, the Ahwahnee Hotel and the Olympic Village Inn at Squaw Valley. Her cd "RIVER OF LIFE" is featured at the ANSEL ADAMS GALLERY in California.

Internationally, Joey has traveled to Ireland, Scotland, Italy, the Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, and Ethiopia to perform and speak. Her music has been part of Peace/Reconciliation meetings in Northern Ireland.

Joey's trademark sound is the weaving of acoustic piano with synthesizers into stories beyond words. She is joined by friends on strings and percussion on "RIVER OF LIFE".... JASMINE KINNEY plays violin on various tracks; and GARTH WEBBER (who toured with Miles Davis) plays electric guitar on track 6 for a mystical arrangement of the ancient Irish melody "Be Thou My Vision".

During the year of 2004, Joey was hired by the Methodist Hospital at the Texas Medical Center in Houston to perform on a weekly basis. Her recordings have been used in emergency rooms, intensive care units, birthing rooms, and cancer therapy centers.
Patients and Doctors describe her music as "healing".

In 2005 Joey moved back to Northern California where she started some new recording projects.

The long-awaited Christmas CD became a reality in 2007 with Joey's release of "GOD WITH US".

Patrick Curtin, Joey's husband also released his Roots/Rock CD "UNVEILED" produced by Marc Cooper. Marc adds his amazing guitar skills to this project and Joey adds her keyboard colors. Linda Mullin on backing vocals will blow you away. This CD is incredibly fun!

Joey invited Marc Cooper to co-produce and record her 2008 release "Soundtrack For America". This instrumental love song for our country can be heard on public radio stations from coast to coast and in other countries.
